Does anyone have any real world experience with these bullets on game?

Shot last years buck with them.  181yds. quartering away and absolutely leveled it. Very happy with them to this point (only animal I’ve killed with them).

Was it a pass through or were you able to recover the bullet"

It was not a pass through and I didn’t retrieve the bullet, wish I would have. Buck ended up quartering away more than I would have liked, bullet entered just slightly ahead of right rear quarter and if it had passed through would’ve come out low center of chest area I’d imagine as it was a downward angle shot. He stood up out of his bed and literally fell right back into it.

Nice buck.  Are you shooting  CVA LR-X?  What powder charge?

Thanks.  Thats exactly what I run and these bullets seem extremely accurate for me.  I just had no experience with them on game.  Thanks so much for your responses.

Here is our first experience....

Son shot a buck yesterday.  60 yards shot slight quartering to shot.  Entered right behind onside shoulder and bullet traveled length of buck resting on the offside hide just in front of the rear leg / ham.  Bullet put a hole in the ribs big enough for me to stick my fist in.  Destroyed one lung and jellied the liver.

Jacket and led were still attached and only came apart as we dug it out of the hide / fat.  175 grains retained weight for 51%.  Large chunk of lead fell out of the fat when cutting the backstraps and tenderloin out.

Overall....bullet appears to have performed well.  I do with it would retain a little more weight, but all in all it killed very quickly.  I would not trust it to perform on a shoulder of an elk as I feel it may not get great penetration.   :dunno: :dunno:

60 yard shot. Blew through both shoulders and made a fantastic mess inside.  Using 76gr by weight of blackhorn. Impact velocity was about 1475fps.

They are accurate and slide down a dirty barrel nicely. I shot a blacktail buck went 3 feet.  Shot A bear as well I recovered 1 bullet perfect mushroom I give them a thumbs up for sure.

They are the most accurate bullet i ha e shot from a muzzle loader. Shot 5 guns. 3- 50 grain pyrodex pellets. Shot a 1-1/2 " group at 100 yds. With 15 rounds from the 5 guns. Shoots exactly the same place at 20yds, 50yds and 100 yds. Went clear thru a 5 point bull at 100 yds. Love the performance.

Thanks for the input.  These are still very accurate in my MR-X and I'll be trying for a late season Muley buck the end of the month.  Should be fun.
