Title: OIL Bull moose in the Selkirk 113
Post by: Jsch on August 27, 2024, 05:51:21 PM
I was lucky this year to draw a OIL bull moose tag for the Selkirk. I don't know much about the unit or area. Have a few scouting trips planned but am not sure where to start. Will be hitting the roads hard and looking for good spots this month before the tag opens. I am super excited for this hunting opportunity! Any tips or information would be helpful!

Joined a good buddy on a hunt in the unit a handful of years back. You are on the right track of just learning the roads and the unit in general. It’s a totally different style of hunting than I have ever done but it’s actually pretty cool. Be patient, cover ground, call a ton, listen a ton, wait, wait a little longer then wait just a little longer and move to the next spot.
