Hi Guys & Gals, :hello:
Well, we all like hunting varmints especially coyotes and bobcats.
This year if you are hunting bobcats and want to get them tagged you have to present the lower jaw of the cat to WDFW.
If you don't have the lower jaw with you, they will not tag your cat.
You can check out "How To" do this in the upcoming issue of Washington Trappers: The Fur Shed magazine or go to their website watrappers.com
If you want to sell your bobcats and coyote skins there are several Fur Buyers throughout the state, plus WSTA has their annual winter fur sale / rendezvous on the westside every year.
I believe it will be March 1st this year. Check their website they will post it there.
If you take bobcat remember same rules here too for the lower cat jaw. WDFW will be at their fur sale, and this is where you can get them tagged.
There is a market for coyote skins, but they need to be PRIME, clean, stretched and dried.
If you are a bird hunter, don't throw away those tail feathers. Crafters are always attending our Fur Sale looking for feathers (pheasant, grose, turkey) for their crafts.
Keep checking on the Trappers link here in Hunt WA for Fur Sales and other events updates.
Happy Hunting
JC :hello:
