Title: First Deer with the Red Dot.
Post by: kirkl on September 30, 2024, 08:25:12 AM
Smoked this guy opening morning with the leuopld RDS. Loved the red dot versus open sites with my old eyes. Knight bighorn, 100 grains, barnes 250 grain T-EZ bullet.

It has multiple dot sizes. you push the button to get different sizes. I use the smaller one.

Seriously? That's a great option, I thought it was just a 1 MOA dot but with multiple illumination settings.

Nice buck.  I assume you got a fair amount of shooting in getting prepped..any issue with holding zero?  I like the idea of red dot, but have some (probably unfounded) concern about it holding a zero.

Shot it quit a bit sighting in and then shot my buck. Zero seems fine to me.
