Got me a judge. I've been eyeing these for a while and figured what the heck. Hope to go play this weekend. I Got the 3" bbl, 2 1/2" chamber since I didn't want a real heavy one. I figure it should be good out to 20 feet or so.

You got to let us know how that thing recoils....
-
good thing you can shoot shotgun shells out of it.......good luck finding any pistol ammo..... >:(
-
Looks like fun. I'd be curious to see if you can take down a flying grouse with that thing.
-
Flying? Lol. White elephant has tons of ammo in stock. 410 was slim though.
-
sweet toy....video you shooting it and post it that would be cool
-
not to be a downer but the bbl has to be atleast 4in to hunt with in this state. cool gun by the way.
-
I'm not sure the 4 inch minimum applies to shooting grouse. I think that's only for big game. This is from the bird regulations:
Forest Grouse
Forest grouse may not be killed with
any rifle or handgun 24 caliber or
larger, or shotgun containing slugs or
buckshot, during modern firearm deer
or elk seasons unless appropriate
deer or elk tags are in the hunter's
possession. Forest grouse may be
taken with shotguns as well as firearms
smaller than 24 caliber during
the entire grouse hunting season.
There's nothing there that says if you use a handgun it must have at least a 4 inch barrel, so I wouldn't worry about it. Even if it were technically illegal, what game warden in his right mind would care?

its legal far as I can read....

check this out, they put it to the test

Good to know Bobcat, I thought it was for everything.
-
That should be a good grouse gun.
-
Geez guys, what a bunch of Debbie Downers.
There is ammo available, I bought some. The 4" rule is for big game not grouse.
I'm gonna take my toy and go play somewhere else. :ACRY:

I've read a few reviews. Not accurate and they don't pattern well at longer ranges but to me that's not what they are designed for. To me it's a nice little close range plinker/ grouse getter. I think I'll still pack the kimber when fly fishing.
-
I am also glad to hear that. more options to shoot grouse with :)
-
Looks like the perfect snake gun.

When they first came out with those they had a 6" model. I'm not sure if there still making it or not, but it would be a fun little grouse gun also.
-
Those Judge revovers are a lot of fun. My brother has the snubie 3" chamber model. We took it out a while ago to try busting some hand thrown clays. Once you get the hang of it, making hits is pretty easy. You're going to love it.

Gut I say you go shoot some trap with that thing!!! 8)

I think a guy would have to look long and hard to find a more USEFUL handgun! Grouse, snakes, vermin, home defence, and a a seriuos deterent for car jackers! nice choice ;)
-
awesome. It's on my list. apparently they dont sell them in europe so I'm SOL for now.

You got the "Night Court"

Well it's a fun little piece. It's manageable with all the loads we tried but guys, this is just a plinker. I still think it'll be fine for shooting grouse that are standing within 20' but I think that 20' may be a stretch. I also believe it'd be fine for a very close range self defense pistol but thats it. It's not accurate and the patterns suck. If you want a good conversation piece and a fun little pistol to play with, go buy one. If you want to try to hit anything with this thats more than 20' feet away, don't. I shot at some clays on the ground and we had to very close to break them. We failed to hit any in the air. My final "yeah / nea" verdict is still out. I bought this for grouse when I'm bear hunting and nothing more. If it works at reasonable ranges I'll be happy. If not, I'll sell it.

theres a guy that will put a TC choke tube in the gun for about 100 bucks should make it pattern better
