Now littlebuff although that is a very fine rifle I have no desire to buy it but maybe I can give you some help on why you should not buy it.
1. It is an awesome weapon but living in Washington on the Wet side probably not a good idea to have wood out there.
2. Is it a need or a want?? A need then you have to have it a Want then you don't.
3. Your wife is out of town trusting you to be a good boy, you do something like this and the repurcussions are limitless.
a. Not allowed to play with the boys anymore
b. No new hunting gadgets for the next 5 years
c. A severe beat down from her with everything and anything that you can imagine.
d. So as you can see the choices are un-limited as to the purchase of that one rifle, only you can decide!!!
HAHA LMAO, if you got the cash then go get it!!!!! :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

all good points you bring up there Joe, but im trying to figure out the difference between need and want :dunno: this makes no seance to me at all, are you sure they just don't mean the same thing?
-
the difference is quite simple.
Need = holy &hit I fell down the mountain, my ONLY hi - power rifle went over the cliff edge and was smashed to lil iddy biddy pieces, now I NEED to go buy a new one so I can hunt and provide for my family.
Want = holy &hit I fell down the mountain, my ONLY hi - power rifle went over the cliff edge and was scratched all over whatever am I going to do?? Well it still shoots I can still provide for the family so to buy a different one is just a WANT because my other one got stratched!!!
Hope this helps you understand if not look at option C, that might steer you to make the right decision!!!!
LMAO

Littlebuf - buy the frigg'n thing! That's a heck of a price, seller may be hurtiing for cash. Do it.
-
ohh i get it so either way i still buy the riffle, very well then. if its all just semantics im not gonna worry about truly understanding the definitions. you've been a big help Joe im going to make sure i leave your phone number with the wife so you can help me explain all of this.....my jaw may be wired shut :dunno:
-
HAHA, well if it is, please post some pictures, we have a long way to go until hunting season and I myself would love to see some good beat down pictures!!!!!!!!!
-
 you got it, take one for the team, no prob
-
That thing is swweeeett!!
Don't know if I could chance getting that thing scratched......killer price too.
-
yes, the price for that riffle is outstanding
-
1800 bucks!!! :yike:
Very pretty but happens if you scratch it?
-
some of my prettiest riffles are well worn and scratched, ive never been one to have safe queens id drag that thing all over the mountain
-
work of art or not, scratches just add character! it wouldn't be fair to that rifle to leave it in a safe!
she's a beauty, i wish i had the money for a nice centerfire....
-
yeah that riffle, some hand loads and i bet that thing is a tack driver
-
That's a pretty rifle at a good price but I dont like the stock. The wood looks good but I dont like that design for a heavy kicker.
That cheek piece would hurt me shooting prone off my pack, especially if shooting up hill. The other thing I dont like about that stock is the grip, its too thick for my liking, and I really dont like that grip cap but that's just personal taste, or in my case probably lack of. On a rifle like a .338 I like a strait stock without a cheek piece and very little drop at the heel. I prefer the feel of a thin pistol grip area on pretty much everything.
There I gave reasons why I wouldn't buy that rifle.
BTW I love Saks actions and If I didn't just buy a new rifle a couple of weeks ago ( I'm broke) I would consider buying it.
-
that's kinda funny , you explained why you don't like the riffle and then say you'd like to buy it :chuckle: we probably have a lot in common (super impulsive, sucker for a fire arm) you explained a American style riffle sako is all European. i prefer the American style also but i think i could get used to this one, oh and i think the cap is awesome
-
So, did you buy the rifle or did your wife get home? :chuckle:
-
i picked up a 270 from 7mm ed, so the itch is scratched all be it temporarily ;)

AAA wheres the pic and info :dunno:

Blackbearklr. I think yer way to strict on that Need and Want thing. I hardly ever need things I want or want things I need. Now what would you say if ya'll had a 338 that was already scratched and you had not had a chance to scratch the new one yet? huh? Well ther ya go right there, thats a need. Or say ya had a 338 that shot 215's good but Might not shoot 250's, Well, thars another need for ya!
Or what if yer rifle broke down on ya, say blew a tire of sumthin.
As long as you can name rifles I can think of a reason to buy em.
Carl :)
