Title: Marlin model 1893 38-55 value

I know nothing of older gun value so was hoping someone here may be able
To help.
Going to be selling this rifle and was just seeing if anyone here had greater knowledge and or interest in this than me. Pictures below

Nice gun. Maybe check the gun library at Cabela’s and see if they could give you a value.

Appears to be a solid frame and not a take down.  I think they go for around $800-$900, but really don’t follow what they sell for.  It sure looks like a nice one. 

They are a nightmare to reassemble and parts are not as available some times.  There are a couple guys who are active on the Cast Boolits web site that really know Marlins.  You might want to join and ask about it there. 

if you are in Renton run it down to Pintos and ask Chris.

If you Facebook, there is a Marlin rifle forum page.  Very knowledgeable guys on there.

At least a couple Marlin owners forums.

Several on Gunbroker.  Looks like the "right ones" can fetch a couple grand.  See which ones most represent yours.
