"Gregoire" This word in the sentence probably means it's not good for hunters.
-
I see nothing but fisheries and environmental focus on these 3, not good for hunters. :twocents:
-
That's what i saw too ridgerunner....I was hoping somebody had something good to report about these appointments..... :bash:
-
I recognize the name from Chelan - not sure if it is good or bad, but asked some question of the people from the area.
-
I have no opinion........YET.
-
Rollie Schmitten is a good guy - he has been instrumental in all progress toward getting salmon and steelhead fishing back in the Wenatchee River. I've talked hunting with him once, at a Wenatchee Sportsmans Association game feed; don't recall how much he hunts, he likes to ask smart hunting questions so he's not a bad pick IMHO. Plus, he's a Chelan County boy.
Don't know anything about the other two.
-
Doublelung.....did his line of questions lead you to believe he might be supportive of hunting???
-
He's definitely supportive of hunting - I just don't know how much he does himself.
-
Rollie was director when I was at F&H News in the early days and we got along fine. He is definitely not somebody to piss down your back and tell you it's raining (as have some people...)
He's smart, he understands that people hunt and why, that anglers fish and why, and I think he deserves a chance.

anyone with ties to western is a concern to me and many others Re- Smith
-
I guess I had forgotten that the governor did the appointing I thought it was the wildlife commissioner
-
So far it sounds like at least 1 in 3 should be favorable to hunting. Does anyone know anything about the other two appointments?
