Title: Looking for a thread
Post by: Huntbear on June 22, 2009, 02:52:33 PM
I thought someone had posted pics and how they painted their synthetic stock camo.  Maybe it was another forum, but I was sure it was here.  I saw it just the other day, and no I have CRS disease!!  :bash:

 :dunno:
i searched for the word "paint" from the home page.
it works better from the home page. if you do it from the guns and ammo forum lets say, it only searches that forum.

That's correct. Always use the advanced search or search page. Otherwise it will search the specific topic you are viewing or the board you are looking at.

All those results did appear on a seach which I just did here (http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php?action=search2;params=YWR2YW5jZWR8J3wwfCJ8YnJkfCd8MSwyLDMsNCw1LDYsNyw4LDksMTAsMTEsMTIsMTQsMTUsMTcsMTgsMTksMjAsMjEsMjIsMjMsMjYsMjgsMjksMzAsMzEsMzIsMzMsMzQsMzUsMzYsMzcsMzgsNDMsNDUsNDZ8InxzaG93X2NvbXBsZXRlfCd8fCJ8c3ViamVjdF9vbmx5fCd8fCJ8c29ydHwnfHJlbGV2YW5jZXwifHNvcnRfZGlyfCd8ZGVzY3wifHNlYXJjaHwnfHBhaW50)

The most important thing people can do in order to make their topics more search friendly is to use actual words that someone would search for in the subject and in the very first posting of the topic.  By making topic subject "new look for my rifle" and then posting a new picture and topic about it - it would not net any results most likely for someone searching for "paint".  Real content is more important than images and subjects which have little meaning.
