Title: Boat Cover Repair
Post by: 6haase6 on April 21, 2025, 01:28:31 PM
Had a nasty wind storm come through and weather aged thread didn’t hold up. None of the canvas is torn but it blew three of the cross seems on the cover. I’m guessing that it will be a lot more cost effective to find somebody to just stitch it back up rather than buy a whole cover. Was wondering if anybody has had work done like this? Or know of any places that would be good to start with?

If the fabric is good, and the thread is not rotten, any upholstery shop can do it.

Material is still good. Guessing the three seams that went were due to brittle sun damaged thread. Anywhere that the sun hasn’t hit as much the threads didn’t bust.

Call your local boat dealers service department. They will have a recommendation for you or likely partner with someone that can repair it.
