Title: Good book
Post by: follow maggie on June 26, 2009, 12:13:55 AM
I'm pretty new to bow hunting and I look to do as much of my own stuff as possible.  I haven't been able to fins a book on tuning my bow- how to make it shoot better, replace a string, add things like loops or peeps to the string, how to fix it, stuff like that.  Can anyone recommend a good book for a beginner to learn about his bow? A book with pictures would be awesome- I can be kind of dense, sometimes.

The only ones I know about are Traditional Archery Books, but there should be a Bowhunters Bible out there somewhere.

Yeah, I've been looking.  It's surprising how hard they are to find.

Contact the bow manufacturer and ask them, I know they offer training to salesmen/women,

That's a great idea.  Wish I had thought of it.  I appreciate the healp.

Some of the Bowhunting magazines have that kind of info in them as well. Also go to a huge book store that has everything in it ( not a small town bookstore) and see if they have a book on Bows. I hope this helps a bit.
