With rabbit and grouse opening for me August 1st, I've been doing a lot of driving and scouting. So far, rabbit population is looking good in my area, but grouse are about extinct! Counting the days till we're chasing bunnies!

Not that anyone responded, but the rabbits in my area are getting taken out quickly. I'm guessing coyotes and the ever present "neighbor's cats" are to blame. I've not taken one yet this year, just chased them!

I’ve seen quite a few rabbits also. Good luck

All spring and early summer saw a lot of cottontail in the yard... We live in South Hill Puyallup... Haven't seen one in a few weeks... Bunch of neighborhood cats and a pack of coyotes... Don't think many make it...

No one has seen and Frankenrabbits?

No one has seen and Frankenrabbits?
You mean the rabbits with papilloma virus?

I had to look that one up! The Shope papilloma virus has been seen in Colorado but I did not see anything about it showing up here?

It’s not here but it probably will be at some point. Rabbit diseases propagate like rabbits.
