Title: Got the D-40

Here's a shot with the D-40x from 3/4 mile, handheld, from a vibrating helicopter, with 55-200 non-VR lens on auto mode

Needless to say that the camera will do wonders. I can't wait to get the 70-300 VR lens!

From what I've heard the 70-300 VR is a dynamite lens for the price, once you go VR you'll never look back!

Post by: Dmanmastertracker on June 28, 2009, 09:57:08 AM: I went in the store open to Canon, or Nikon, but the guy offered me a really good deal on the Nikon, lot's of extras, case, digital albums, etc., and I liked the feel of the Nikon better.

Post by: scoyoc5 on June 28, 2009, 10:29:40 AM: i bought a Nikon d40 a couple years ago and really am happy with the quality and the ease of using the features..my kids are in sports and thought i needed a better than average set up.I'm certainly not a Photographer like alot of these other guys on here but as a recreational shooter I can say that you will be really satisfied with this camera.
