Title: New Telephoto Lens Ordered!
Post by: need2huntmor on July 10, 2009, 01:17:40 PM: It is not the L series that I would like to get, but it will have to do for now. I just ordered a Canon 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS. It gets good reviews, so I think it will work good for me until I can afford an L series. I kind of wanted it for our Hawaii trip at the end of the month, and I definitely needed it for my Alaska trip in September. The 17-85mm just doesn't cut it for the photos I want. Look forward to posting photos when it comes.

Post by: Da stump on July 10, 2009, 08:09:07 PM: Hi guys, when income tax roles around and if Obama hasn't spent my share then I want to get a cannon 40D camera body. If you guys are ready to up grade your lenses at that time let me know. I would love to outfit myself with L series lenses to start with but I can't quite bring myself to spend money I haven't got. I quess I will never be a good Democrat. :chuckle:

Post by: need2huntmor on July 10, 2009, 10:34:58 PM: I am hoping to upgrade to a L series lens next year some time. If I am able to, I will post on here to see if anyone is looking for my old lens, if I don't think I will use it anymore.

I have the Canon 40D, and while I am just learning how to use it (I am new to photography period), so far I love it.
