Was thinking of doing a day hunt on Friday to either the Taneum or Teanaway for archery elk. With all this snow wich would you choose???Im just looking for meat.I havnt hunted in either since my muzzleloader days. Was thinking the taneum maybe up above the feeding station by thorp.what do you guys think????

Yeah I would try the Taneum, with all this new snow you should be able to catch them moving above the feeding areas. If you drive up the Taneum, anywhere out there will be good, I have heard of some people seeing quite a few elk out in the Teanaway though, but i would try to stick with the Taneum.

Either one would be good but like Cougeyes said Taneum should have some movement towards the feeding stations now. Flip a coin :dunno: :chuckle:

taneum all the way. lots and lots of sign in the area but i had limited access with only 2wheel drive. so i didnt see any elk in the 336 unit. but seen alot in 340 which is closed. there was quite a few elk on the taneum creek road but once again they were on the side of the road that was closed.
watch for cougars though. i cut quite a few tracks up there last weekend.
