Title: Don't tell a kid.
Post by: Craig on July 20, 2009, 10:00:33 PM
Don't tell a kid Walleye have big teeth.

We did some fishing at Banks lake and were catching all bass. I hooked a fish and let him catch it. Low and behold it was a walleye. Once my son figured out it was a Walleye he thought it was going to eat him. We tried to get a picture of him with his first Walleye. Ge almost jumped out of the boat trying to get away from it. fun time fishing with kids.

Perch/walleye gill plates are also very painful! Did you know that they have some sort of venom on the plate? That is why it hurts so dang bad! I remeber fishing on my uncles Charter boat as a kid and people from the city would always want to "lip"  walleye like a bass. They never would do that again, They would ask me or the uncle to take the hooks out!
