Took the family out to Silver Lake to try our luck. I decided to day was the day my daughter Leah was going to learn how to hook her own fish. So after a bit of instruction, I cast out her line and hand her the rod. Not a minute later she yells "I got one!!!". She had hooked and landed her first fish on her own. Talk about some proud parents.

The wife also got in on the action while the kid was taking a break watching turtles.

Later on that night, I finally hooked a fish. I saw it break the surface. Tiger musky! Not a big one, but my first. Just when I got it to the dock, the hook popped loose. :'(
All in all, a good night. Leah caught probably 50 of those little sunfish. Good times.
