Title: OREGON - eagle cap

If so, how was it?

I've spent some time in there but this is the first year I'll be hunting it.

Post by: boneaddict on July 22, 2009, 12:00:10 PM: I've pondered it. Its probably where I would go for OTC hunting in Oregon with my bow. You can still outleg the folks in there. You are comfortable withthe Blues so could get around in it fairly well I am sure. Its become a bit more popular since Cameron Haines hit the scene.

Post by: ghgetter on July 22, 2009, 11:33:23 PM: Big rough country if you are over by the Hells Canyon side. I have seen some bruiser bucks but again...big rough country. Kinda like the Pasayaton on steroids.

Post by: coachcw on July 23, 2009, 06:40:04 AM: I went in two years ago on a drop camp , the outtfitter was terrible , managed to kill a nice buck , the elk in our area where non existant , we hunted hard for a week and saw one elk. the outtfitter moved our camp due to fires that year, I'm sure If we would have been on the east end it would have been much better .

i don't think he'd be going anywhere in a hurry...someone's surely bringing him lunch at any minute.

Jakelope i have quite a few pictures just like the one you shared. my wife got a pic of me feeding a pretty nice 5 point. If you want to go see some good horns but sick deer that is the place to go. They are not healthy, the ones around the camp, because they eat everybody camp food. I feed them grass! It is beautiful country down there and i have seen some very nice deer while driving around.
