Title: Partition Gold?

I'm not quite ready to load my own hunting ammo just yet. So yesterday I went and bought a box of WInchester black box ammo, in 338 win mag. The bullet is a 250 grain Partition Gold. How does this differ from a regular nosler partition bullet?

The bullet is all darkish grey, with no copper jacket showing. Is the bullet coated? Around the tip, just below it rather, there is a faint ring. Thanks fellows.
