Went out to the range today to try out the new #3 Timney trigger I just installed on my DPMS Lo Pro (AR-15) varminter. I have tried quite a few different loads/bullets, but this AR really likes V-Max bullets. I picked up 200 rounds of Fiocchi 40 gr V-Max from Cabelas about 6 months ago and was hoping that it would shoot decent in at least one of my .223s. Man, was I pleasantly surprised :chuckle:! With this ammo, I was consistently shooting 1/2" or better. My last 100 yard group was exactly 1/4"! This rifle is a shooter... I did the same thing a few years back with Black Hills 50 gr V-Max.
I was also able to go 7/16" with the same ammo in my "budget" Stevens 200 today. :IBCOOL:
It was a good day!

Nice shooting, sounds like a sweet gun.

great shooting sound like ya got a good riffle there, if you want to get real consistent accuracy start reloading. my AR with my reloads makes 1 hole 3 shot groups at 100 yrds of a bench rest. i never bothered measuring the size of the group :chuckle:

I've been using the 50gr molyed V-max's in my .223 and 22-250. It's really cool getting this kind of accuracy out of factory rifles. The 55's shot real well out of my 22-250 but the 55's are flat base and its hard to start those little bullets into the case, so I switched to the 50's and their Boatails

SS, hate to break the news to you, but that gun sucks. I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands so you can buy something of high quality :chuckle:
