Do any of you know anything about Meadow Lake near Cheney? Is there fish in it? Public access? Every time I drive past it, I think that has got to be good for bass.
-
Nobody? Bummer. :(
-
Is that the one just before fish lake on the Cheney-Spokane road?
-
No, it's on the right side of Michael Anderson Hwy when you're going toward Cheney.

Ok I know the one now. I haven't ever seen anyone on it. I would guess it is all private land around it. I think Machias lives out that way and may know something.

Thanks. I was looking on Google Maps and it looks like there may be a place to launch a boat, or at least try the shore. I'm going to try and find it. That lake looks way to good not to at least try. Maybe someone will let me fish from their property.

I've wondered the same thing. It looks promising, but I never seen anyone fishing it.

Well, bad news on this lake. Called WDFW and they said this lake is locked up by private property. I took a drive around it to see if there was any good access to get permission for. It's surrounded by reeds. Might be able to get a canoe or float tube in there, but not a boat.

:chuckle: I own 12 acres on Meadow Lake, actually my property goes across the lake, but I only have about 20 feet of land on the railroad track side. LOTS of bullheads and some carp. No bass what so ever. :( When I first moved in in 2001 I thought I will stock this lake myself. I contacted WDFW and they said nope we can't stock it since there is no public access and you can't stock it without building a fish dam on the one end that crosses Meadow Lake Road. It still has not been offically stocked.

I probably drove past your proeprty then! :chuckle: Well it's good to know there's no bass in it then. I don't feel as bummed now. But man, that would be an outstanding bass lake. Thanks for the info!

You probably saw my mules and my donkey on Murphy Road.

If you want to chase bass around try Chapman. I've seen some in there you could put a saddle on.
