Title: BUMPING Cow Tag
Post by: mbutler on July 29, 2009, 08:30:40 AM
I drew a muzzle loader cow tag this year and I am planning on several scouting trips beginning in late August .  I am not familiar with the unit, it appears to be mainly wilderness.  Any suggestions on where to start looking around?  I would appreciate any suggestions .

I've bow hunted the Bumping unit for 6 years, Pm me with any questions & I will steer you in the right direction. Frustrating area to hunt with swirling wind & smart hard hunted animals.  When is your tag dates ?   Good luck. Mike

Plenty of elk in Bumping unit,
Get a topo map and get out and scout. The entire area has a lot of elk and bear.

Get away from the crowds. Be willing to do some homework. If it is hot find cover and water
