Title: Quebec Caribou Camp
Post by: bow4elk on July 31, 2009, 07:00:54 PM
I found this old photo and thought I'd scan it to share.  The focus is off as the wind was blowing pretty good, even with a tripod.  Oh well, you get the idea.  For those looking for a great bowhunt, it's hard to beat a Quebec Caribou hunt in the arctic.  If you hit the migration right, it will be a hunt you'll never forget!

A friend of mine went to deadhorse and it was around 3.5 grand a person to shoot 2 bulls each. what a blast! their whole family went and videotaped the entire adventure. problem is getting 800 pounds of caribou meat home! they donated all but 100 pounds of it to the local charity.

I was there filming a promo video for the outfitter, so my hunt was in exchange for my work.  Good deal all around.  Shipping your meat home isn't big deal and caribou is very good - too good to donate, in my opinion.
