are homebrews cameras that are kits that you put together or what. if so where can you find them
-
Homebrews simply mean taking your own camera, case, motion detection system and putting it together into a working trailcam. There are many different cameras used. There are some kits out there. Look through the homebrew builds forum and you will get the idea.

thanks for the info

One other consideration with a homebrew is that you have an 'in the field' picture viewer too (as long as your battery didn't die).
-
I prefer to buy cameras and drink homebrew :chuckle:
-
I built my first homebrew last week and got it out in the woods on sunday, it is a lot easier than I thought, and I tested it and it works great! ;)
-
wouldnt you have to leave the camera on? if i left my camera on i dont think the batteries would last very long.. i dont know jack about homebrews so this might be a stupid question..
-
The hombrew PIR motion controller turns the camera on and off and presses the shutter button. I can leave my homebrew out a month and get 500 pics or so.
-
ohh ok. so is that somthing that plugs into specific cameras? im getting real interested in building one now.. not trying to hijack this thred. i'll start googling
