Title: Pinks in the Hood?
Post by: Rob on August 07, 2009, 10:03:08 AM
I have a friend who is headed for a long weekend over in the Hood Canal.  As I try to decipher the regs, it looks like you can fish for Salmon in the lower portion of the Hood right now.  If that is true, are there any Pink runs that are hot in that area?  He has some kids that would love to hook into some fish on the river mouths from shore.

the only humpy show in town is the area around the hoodsport hatchery.  i've never done any good there -- there usually aren't huge numbers of fish and they move in schools, usually out of my casting range.  big advantage if you've got a boat, plus you can get away from all the knuckleheads at the hatchery.
