Title: Morning Hike (Nice Whitetail)
Post by: tlbradford on August 08, 2009, 02:53:42 PM: I went on a hike with my oldest daughter this morning. She wanted to take her pink BB gun for the bears, but I knew I would be carrying her and the gun on my shoulders by the end of the trip. We ended up just takng the camera.

Post by: tlbradford on August 11, 2009, 09:08:52 AM: Thanks guys, I am trying. I think I need to take a tripod or monopod out with me on some of the standing shots though. I am not happy with the crispness of my shots at around 100 yards, and I think that may be because of hand shake, even with the IS? I'm sure you veterans can tell how much sharpening I had to do to make that standing whitetail look halfway decent. Next time out I'm going to throw the tripod in the pack and do some long range test shots.
