Title: Lots of sign
Post by: clindsayrun on August 08, 2009, 09:55:32 PM
Made it out this evening for a few hours.

Got into this little area, two small streams flowing into a small pond. Lots of shade trees and a couple of wild apricot trees, lots of heavy brush and wild currant berries. Anyway within a thiry yard circle I counted seventeen piles of crap. That's the most I've ever seen in one spot. He didn't show up tonight...but I'll be checking back.
This is the first good prospect I've seen yet.  I'm a little excited, so I thought I share.

Looks promising!!!!

Stay away from that spot!

Branch out. Find vantage point/s above the two or three routes that bruin takes to get to that area. Look around for beds just a ways from there down wind. They don't crap where they sleep. They don't crap right where they eat. (Well, some do, then some would say they only crap in the road, not in the woods..) He's marking territory and may only come back there as seldom as once every few days. -So be patient and glass a lot.
