Hey everyone. I am another new guy here. I learned of the site from a friend Otto1. I am active one a few other sites but am always looking for new ones to post on. I am an avid waterfowler who now takes more shots with my camera than the shotgun!! (Dont get me wrong, I still shoot my share!!) Here are a few pictures. I hope you all enjoy them!

Awsome pics thanks for posting them, welcome aboard.
-
dude those pics rock! Do you work for a magazine or somehting?
I love the snow goose ones those are my favorite. Were those taken at lerviks? I was there on saturday, those birds come so close and taunt us ontthe edge there. COOL band! I want that bird!
-
Thanks for the comments guys!
SnowGooser, I do not work for a magazine. I am just a waterfowler with a passion for photography. Those snow goose pictures were close to Lervyks but were taken on Fir Island over by the Quality hunt fields. I looked hard and only found that one band. Usually I see a lot more!
-
Welcome Jason.......... I saw two bands yesterday on fir island up close and personal ;) also had about 5-6 blues in the pack...
Sure wished you were with me in the blind this morning, had two neck banded tundras buzz me at about 30 feet. Totoal swans was about 200 and every one banked and cupped over my blind within spitting distance and then navigated an ice landing... Really really cool! Wanna road trip up I would love to go out in the morning for a few hours, who knows that mute may fly over? I had my eyes peeled ;)

Very inspiring photos. Awesome stuff!
Years ago was an aspiring photographer and shot a lot of snowboarding, skateboarding, and wakeboarding. I got some stuff published but the cash flow was low and sparse.
I still have my gear (all Nikon) and was thinking about getting back into it by upgrading to a pro grade digital SLR body.
What are you using for gear?
-
Brad, I am still looking for those blue phases. I was up ther again today and did not see them again. Have you seen them lately?
Scottr, I am a Canon guy. I have a few friends that shoot Nikon and I dont hold it against them! :) You should get back into photography. It is addictive!

LOL!! Nikon vs Canon is like Labs vs Pointers, everyone picks a side.
Are you shooting digital or still shooting film? I have a Nikon F4S that I was thinking of upgrading to the Digital D100. I love film and all it nuances but processing (and paying for it) sucks so I think I am going digi.
-
That is true about Nikon vs. Canon. It all boils down to which one you first used!
I am totally digital. I love it for the reasons you mentioned and for the fact that you can manipulate the lighting with changing your ISO settings without changing film. Also, you can look at a picture instantly to see if your specs are good or if you may need to adjust something.
All this camera talk maked me want to go out and shoot something!
