Title: Paper Tuning Problems
Post by: oneshotkill on August 12, 2009, 10:34:05 PM
I was paper tuning my bow today because I was having erratic broadhead flight.  My field points paper tune perfectly but my broadheads are consistently shooting BH left tail left.  It is not by much but still enough to shake my confidence.  DO you think that this is a problem?

Not if your broadheads will hit the same spot every time.  Have you tried broadhead tuning?  I never shoot broadheads through paper.  I've always made the minor adjustments to the rest through broadhead tuning.  Hit up the easton tuning guide and follow those instructions.  Works for me.  Should for you.

1. Paper Tune(field points only)
2. Walk Back Tune(field points only)
3. Broadhead Tune
In that order. Do a search at http://www.archerytalk.com or http://www.bowsite.com for tuning instructions.

After you do #1 and #2 with your field tips put on your broadheads. Here is a link for broadhead tuning.
