Yesterday i went huntin down at the revere ranch and all i saw was a hen and other people that were out their looked like they were field cleaning hens. I was wondering since the pheseant for me isn't doing so well. Is that, where is a good place for quail?
Thanks

Man, I'll tell ya this has been a tough year for my partner and me. We've hunting all over the place and have not done all that well. I was on Revere last Wednesday, walked the river from the far parking lot to the Lamont granin towers and back again for a second breakfast. Then the dog and I headed in toward the far side of the ranch till be got to the old stock pens and kept going till we saw the fence line. We turned and walked back along the other fence line till we saw the power lines there we took a compass bearing toward the grain towers again. All day we saw three raptors and one hen.

I've heard there's some good quail hunting up near Brewster. I've never done it but I have a buddy who usually makes the treck from spokane 1 or 2 times a year. Ya might also try down around clarkston and asotin or areas down near the snake river.

theres lots of quail around okanogan county.

Shorthair if I remember correctly you are in E-Burg.
The hills and draws all around you are full of quail. Lower Colockum (sage hills, flats, brushy draws) and Quilomene (same as Colockum). Umtanum try crossing the foot bridge, and pretty much anywhere else along the river from Cle Elum down south are all spots that hold birds.
If you know any ranchers that have sage and water on their land get permission cause they'll also have quail.

My location is in Suncrest which is just north of Spokane. And Yes i do hunt with a short hair-Sisu and today i checked out a state land area near my house and it looks good for quail and grouse.

miller ranch holds a fir amount of quial, as mentioned med lake is pretty good too. if you don't mind the trees the foothills of mt spokane are loaded too. I make a trip into the brewster area a couple times a year.. all in all nothing I have ever hunted compares to the quilomen for quail. I took 6 without my dog while elk hunting a few weeks ago.

I hunted miller ranch for pheseant, never have seen quail though is there a certain area in miller ranch that holds them? And yesterday i went to Cabelas :IBCOOL: and talked to a man about bird hunting and he also said that Mt. Spokane has good quail and grouse. But on the gohunt program i don't see any land near mt spokane, can someone draw me a map or point me in the right direction for mt spokane.
Thanks
