Carl

I just happened to do this yesterday it is 154.75 for the hunting license and 301.75 for the tag.
-
$456.00, wow they are proud of that tag.
-
Hope your not heading up to the panhandle to hunt, last year was my fourth yr up in unit #1 and boy was it terrible hunting. Saw one white tail in five days, lots and lots of wolf tracks.
-
you ever been to unit #13 limited area.

True, but you get to hunt for nearly four months and with any weapon you want, muzzleloader, rifle, bow.
-
tack on another 18.50 for bow and 18.50 for muzzleloader then, and there are almost no seasons for muzzleloader without special permits
-
Sorry, I was thinking elk in the Panhandle. :)
-
I figure about 150 for license, about 400 for deer, about 500 for elk and about 200 for wolf. Yep, gonna cost to play this year. Oh yeah the 2,000 I had to front for a goat tag and they charge 5% convienence fee for that I get the rest back. LOL
-
still have to have archery and muzzy permits, and the panhandle does have some great elk seasons just wish it wasnt so far from home, also i believe there are some good muzzy hunts on the whitetail only tags but who wants to buy those for the same price as a regular deer tag which gives you the option of shooting either one

I've made a commitment to hunt whitetails in the Idaho panhandle this year along with my brother and a friend of his and you guys are scaring me. :'(
-
I think the panhandle is the best elk in idaho right now. :twocents:

I don't think the panhandle is the best elk tag in Idaho right now. There are better options. :twocents:

Whats better?

Dippy-Snort,
I told you this spring not to buy that tag! All my friends in the panhandle have even given it up. It's Wolf central and the herds are really depressed right now. You're such a tight-wad anyways, I can't believe you sprung for the 500 in tags and licenses. Next year let me know and if you want to go to Idaho, we'll go down south where there's still some game! ;)
-
South Idaho is better in my opinion.

I'll bring plenty of deer Prozac with me. ;)

The panhandle elk are still receovering from the winterkill a few years back.... and the wolves haven't helped.
