Hey guys & gals it's that time of year!!!! I generally try & put something together to add a bit of spice to ones Elk Hunts! (grin) This year it will be with the New PlayBook!
It will be a Contest where Photos are involved. The PlayBook must be in the Photo to be a contestant. What I'm looking for is a Photos that is just Cool--Interesting--Funny! It can be something unusual as well.
We're looking for photos where PlayBook is in a kill or maybe a Cool photo on the long drive on the way to hunting camp? Maybe at camp? Something unusual or interesting while hunting such as odd rubs or lots of them or wallows? Anything that may be unique!
So don't think your photo isn't good enough, enter the contest as you just never know. There will be 3 Winners, 1st--2nd--3rd---1st place Winner will win 500.00 worth of prizes & 2nd & 3rd won't be too shabby either!
To enter you "MUST" sign in here on this thread first. All you have to say is "I'M IN" & of course you'll need a PlayBook which most already have! Good Luck & post Photos as soon as you have them. This contest will end sometime in Oct when most Archery Seasons are over, I will pick a date later & let all know what the prizes are. Good Luck!!
If you have any questions email me at elknut@elknut.com or ask here! Thanks!

Gentlemen & Ladies,
You may purchase your Playbook by going to this site http://stores.elknut.com/Categories.bok?category=Elk+Calls%2C+etc (http://stores.elknut.com/Categories.bok?category=Elk+Calls%2C+etc)
Click books on the left hand side. at the next page you'll see Elknut's playbook at the top. on the right side select BuyNow. It will be easy after that.
The Play book is a guide to calling and calling techniques focused on early season Archery Elk Hunting. This book has gotten high reviews by several Bow Hunting magazines. Even if you don't join the contest, it is something you might you might want to pick up.
-
I'm in. Even for veteran elk hunters his playbook is a very good resource, and it should be given out to novice hunters along with the elk tag.

Here is a link to the "playbook". If you haven't visited Elknut's Website and viewed his products, you are missing out. Yu may see him featured in a magazine from time to time and he is a Hunt-Washington sponsor.
Great interview in the Extreme Bowhunting Mag this month.
Thanks for keeping us posted on your contest.

Thanks for getting it to me quick. Looks like loads of good info.
-
hey you still carry "cow talk", kinda fun to use the first cow call ever made
-
Not sure about it being the first cow call produced, it seems others lay claim to that as well ! (grin) But yes, I carry the Cow Talk & also use it, it's got great unique tone when I want another sound. It also produces the best re-gathering lost sound around used by both cows & bulls!

Paul, we're good. He decided to pick up the bow this year for deer, he's playing football for the first time this year so he wont make early elk. We'll be over in your neck of the woods around turkey day i hope, got a buddy in the Kamiah area and will take my son over on a youth mentor tag for muzzleloader elk if we can put it all together. Probably have to do a little fishing while we're there too. ;)
Things been good for you too it appears.
-
Dan, that sounds good! Boy that son of yours is already in football, man they grow up fast! Good luck with the fishing! Yes, we are hanging in there out this way! Thanks!

To be in the contest & actually be in contention for one of the Top 3 Prizes you must post a photo with the PlayBook in it. The photo can be of anything, it does not have to have an elk in it, just some part of your hunt or on the way to your hunts. We are looking for unique, funny, surprising, etc. The top prize will be worth 500.00-600.00 But you need to post a photo here to be in & of course own the ElkNuts PlayBook! Thanks!

I don't see any holes in that elk, so I think the point of the picture is that the elk ate the Playbook and choked to death.
-
I clicked on this thread expecting to see plenty of elk killed with the play book. It is into November and no entries ? You guys are letting elk nut down, lets see those pics ! Might only be one picture wins all the prizes ! Lets see them. Mike Side note; I'm not in as I have not purchased the play book yet.
-
Mike, thanks! The contest deadline for entries was Oct 31. We are now putting the top 7-8 photos up & you the voters will choose the top 3. I will post here when the voting will start.
One did not need to kill an elk to enter, they just needed a photo with the PLayBook in it so it was opened up to all & all would have a chance to enter & win. 1st place is a set of Viper Binos 10X42 msrp-600.00 it was worth ones time & effort to just snap a simple photo & enter! (grin) I will post when the voting will start, it will be in the next couple of days. Thanks!

Are you saying no one can submit a photo now because it's after the 31st of Oct or no more folks can sign up for the contest, Just curious cause late season is almost upon us and I still have a tag !!
-
Robodad, yes sir the contest is now over! It ended Oct. 31st. Sorry this misses you but it has to end sometime! (grin) There are hunting seasons out until Jan in parts, most guys do not want to wait months & months as I've been told!! (grin) It started late Aug so ones have had plenty of time, the photo does not need an elk in it, actually I'll bet the top 3 don't all have an elk in their photo! Thanks for wanting to be a part, I appreciate it!

-
Maybe I am missing something, I don't see any photos posted here, was there someplace else to post them ?? :dunno:
-
Robodad, that's because guys here rarely participate in contests, at least that's been my observation, oh well to each his own! (grin) I was just giving everyone a chance here as well as on other Sites. There are plenty of others that do participate, if you'd like to know where PM me & I'll show you those. As I mentioned earlier I will post the top ones so you & others may vote for the 3 you like best! Thanks!
ElkNut1
-
Oh I see now, there are other sites participating in this too !! I didn't realize that. Yes please post up the contenders or all of em for that matter !!! We love photos on here !!!
Sorry about all the confusion on my part, next time I'll pay attention, I was looking forward to posting some but oh well !!!
Keep up the good work !!! ;)
-
Yes, I will post a thread as soon as the photo voting is ready! The photos will be on my Site so one can vote there & I can tally the votes as they come in as the votes will come directly to me this way no one knows whos winning until it's over. There's no way to do it on a hunting site this way. Stay tuned & thanks!

Ray, you may delete this thread now! Thank you for making it a "sticky"
