Here are some pics taken at the begining of the month by our property between Twisp and Winthrop. Pretty cool!
-
Way cool! I talked to a guy camping this last weekend who was talking about seeing one in the same area. Hopefuly the wolves don't clean them out.
-
Nice pics! 8)
-
There was a big bull up by wolf creek last year too.
-
Nice photos. I always loved moose. About as cool as a mountain goat but in a totally different way.
-
That's a skinny little bugger. Hopefully the population will continue to increase and we can get some more tags.
-
Our buddy who took the pic thought it was a moose calf.

I think he was right.

i have seen a bunch of moose this year while working. A lot more since the burns are grown back to about eye level. One really nice bull too!
-
good to hear. It would be great to get a sustainable population in the area.
-
There are a couple up there. Both places that hold the most burned pretty heavy. We'll see how long it takes.
-
Yes Two up McClurre Mt that Gary saw Moose run across the dirty Rd when He check his Cattles about a month ago.
How COOL! But wrong spot for Them! Wolves lives where Moose are. Hopefully Moose get cross south of Twisp River to stay away from North Between Twisp and Wintrop. DANGER SPOT for Moose! :yike:

the wolves arnt going to bother the moose, if anything they might take a few deer. The biggest problem we have in the valley is cougars.
-
Hmmm..... I beg to differ.
-
yeah wolves are one of the few things that moose need to stay away from
-
I'm thinking that moose are not safe from wolves either. They have documented a particular pack in Yellowstone that actually hunts Bison and are really good at it! JMHO, but I think a bison would be more formidable than a moose. :dunno:
