Title: Elk Hunting on Eastside
Post by: Eildydar on August 25, 2009, 10:51:18 AM
Hey guys I am new to the whole Elk hunting thing and I bought a new rifle in hopes to go with my gpa but apparently there is a wedding he is going to be going to in california so said he probably won't be able to make it up this year. I was hoping some kind soul on here might want to let a newbie tag along with them. I would, obviously, have no problem paying for my share of whatever is needed such as gas food, whatever. And more then willing and able to help with scouting and what not. My biggest problem really for hunting is I have absolutely no idea how to clean out an Elk and wouldn't want to get up there and not have any clue what i was doing as far as dressing it and what not. If you have any suggestion or want to PM me that would be great.

You gut an elk justlike a deer (only it is bigger !).
Where abouts you looking at hunting and where do you live.
Would help folks know if they can lend a hand.
