I'm a bit confused by your post. Sounds like a core summer activity area with food, water, and cover. They'll be all through it. Spend enough time there, watch the wind, and you should be able to put something together. Assuming you are disabled in some way to have a crossbow permit?
-
Let me know where this is at I'll come over, scout it out for ya, kill a big one then let you know where the best place would be to sit!
On a serious note if you are able to get around sounds like a nice slow stalk should do the trick if there's that much sign. Sounds like they have everything they need right there. They shouldn't be to far away.

the caps lock button is kinda middle keyboard on the left hand side, go ahead and push it once

:yeah:

I would get a spotting scope and do some long range scouting and try and see if you can pattern them and then set up according to the wind.

crossbow? Washington?
-
crossbow? Washington?
with some sort of disabled permit...yup.
-
They changed that and now you anybody can hunt with a crossbow if it is in a firearm restricted unit. I can't find my reg book but I spoke with a game warden about the change and it is legal to use a crossbow.
-
But I believe you have to be hunting during a modern firearm season, correct?
-
Bobcat- if I remember right you are correct. But like I said I can't find my regs. Last time I was looking at them in my buddies truck so I'm thinking I left them there. :bash:

WASH is a disabled hunter Iamalmostpositive of it............ I remeber him posting it somewheres once before

That's cool that you're able to get out there after the elk with a crossbow. Good luck.
-
its hard for me to walk long distances i get tired real easy im thinking ill
tree stand them if i can get my stand up in a tree or just sit by the creek thanks to all
-
what kida crossbow do you use? my dads disabled and looking to get one
-
I would suggest, if you can get yur hands on a trail cam. to post up a trail cam and check ut the activity.
Placed in different spots will give you more info on when and where they are coming through.

I believe that you meant 3 point minimum.? Wouldn't want you to let a bull walk because he was 4 point or larger.
-
Good luck man, hope you have a good season.

I wished I lived closer to you I would offer a hand at getting that treestand up and running for ya.Or help in anyway.Like swat the game wardens off of you while your hunting. :chuckle:
