All right, some PM's have changed my mind. I will be camping a lake cushman this weekend. I will fish the skokomish a few days this weekend but i wanted to venture somewhere new and my son wants to go. The pinks intrigued me because my boy could catch them and i think he would have fun with them. But does anyone have any other ideas. My boy is not into trout fishing, he has been spoiled on salmon and steelhead.

Crow Butte State Park on the Columbia river. Outstanding smallmouth fishing and walleye too. Plus you can hit the steelhead and salmon on the river too.

Kbyers thanks for the reply. I will be camping about 200 miles away from there this weekend, so i will keep that in the back of my mind for next time.
