Title: Lower River Salmonoid Restrictions
Post by: dbllunger on September 02, 2009, 01:16:16 PM
Question...hoping for a quick answer.  What are the lower Columbia River catch restrictions/limits in regards to Hatchery and Wild Salmon/Steelhead.  Newest Hatchery plan (voted on soon by commission) is really pushing selective fishing.  That means more and more restricitons on keeping wild fish.  I don't fish the lower river just wanting to know for an upcoming meeting with WDFW in Brewster on the 9th.

No wild Steelhead may be retained, and no wild coho may be retained. Chinook depend on time of year. These fall fish don't have to be clipped, but the Springers do.

What about summer run kings/chinook?  The 09-12 hatchery proposal is really pushing the hatchery only fish.
