Title: Duckin This Morning 12/15
Post by: Antlershed on December 15, 2007, 03:31:09 PM
Made the one hour drive south to hunt with my dad and one of his buddies this morning. Drive down was nice, but got there and my dad realized he forgot his shells sitting in the garage...no big deal, my and his buddy had extras. The morning started out promising as we were setting decoys, we had ducks dive-bombing in on us. Get the decoys set, sit down in the blind, had a duck damn near land in the blind, and wait for legal shooting hours. Legal shooting hours came, and the action slowed down a little, but we still had decent numbers of birds in the air. We also could have shot much better, but hey, it was our first time out this year. We ended up with three drake Mallards, a couple Widgeon, a Shovler, and one Goose.
