This is my first elk hunt and I drew a cow tag for Taneum A. I have read a lot of threads and this seems to be a pretty decent area. I use to camp up off of Cabin Creek Rd quite a bit growing up and I actually have a buddy who has a cabin up there.
I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to start looking for a place to hunt? I know there are a lot of trails in the area so any help would be a nice start.
Thanks!

cabin creek is my home elk area. been hunting it my whole hunting lifetime...
if you have a cow tag you should have no problem. focus along the river closer to the free exit.
also back towards lake easton. there is a marsh area along the river just south of the power lines. you can get up above the river and glass that whole area. i seen tons of elk in there last year but couldnt get them in bow range.
what season dates are you hunting? i wouldnt mind showing you the erea really thoroughly. i love to elk tag holders out.
