Hey there all. I am new to archery as well as hunting in general. I am always looking for new hunting buddys as well as new places to try out. I live near Gig Harbor and have been hunting Belfair. Have not seen much in the way of deer but lots of bear sign and some heavily traveled trails. Anyone looking for a new freind and archery hunting buddy please shoot me an e-mail at seansfire@hotmail.com. I am a 35 year old guy.
I hope it don't sound like i am looking for a date , i am just trying to make some freinds. if you have directions to a good hunting spot it would be appreciated. i will be happy to pass on directions to all the places i know.

Good to see a new hunter on here! Welcome to the site. You'll find the help you need on here and meet some good guys in the process. I don't hunt your side of the state, or even in this state too much, so I'm not of much help for you, sorry. Somebody on here has the deer hunting in your area wired pretty tight and will be willing to help you gain some experience. Rule #1 is if somebody does tell you where to go or take you there, then it's still their spot, and you would keep a lifelong friend if you asked before you went back again. Hunting secrets are hard to come by, so do your best to keep it off the internet and under wraps even from friends and co-workers unless you want the area to be ruined quickly. Good luck out there, and remember that persistence pays dividends every time.

Seansfire I also live on the Peninsula ( Vaughn Bay ) and have hunted the area you speak of many times. There are many other good spots up in that area just keep poking around. And yes many many bear. Keep at it. I know of a pretty good spot near Mason lake I would be willing to turn you loose on if you don't mind a little walk. Last year the rifle guys hit it pretty hard but I am sure you can still find a deer or two. Oh yeah, welcome to the site. Bruce
