Title: i finally got my first buck with a bow
Post by: cook0501 on September 07, 2009, 10:34:43 AM: This is my forth year hunting with a bow and have harvested a doe every season. This year it finally paid off i got my first buck. He was no where near a monster but it works for me. A velvet spike. spikes are about 6 in. shot was 40 yards. he ran 140 yards then dropped. was a good day after getting soaked from the morning rain

Any Capitol buck with a bow is a feat...the bucks round here are vampires and only come out at night :P

I've lived next to this forest for going on 4 years and have seen a grand total of maybe 4 bucks I see lots of does, lots of big does, I never see bucks.
