I just got back from the northeast corner and thought I would share this info. My buddy and I were Bear hunting and were stopped by a Inland empire timber company employee while driving into the kelley hill unit (GMU 105). He informed us that anyone their timber lands to hunt, fish, cut firewood, snowmobile or whatever will now need to purchase a permit to use that land they own, even if you are going to state land past it. The cost is 40.00 bucks per person.Just thought youall should know. We were on the east side of Sheep Creek and Mitchell Mtn. We said screw that and hunted someplace else. Saw 4 Bears all to small or to far for a shot. Good Luck

sounds like what potlach did 2 years ago with there land in Idaho. do they have a website to get them from or do you have to call a number to get one?

I left the pamphlet at my cabin. :bash: What I do know is you can pick up a permit at Rivers Edge Gas station in Northport. There are other locations but I can not recall where they are at. I'm sure if you can find their website there would be more info.

I think hubby picked up our permit to access the property somewhere close to Newman Lake. I'll check & post later...although we're finding out that there are alot of people tromping around up there, especially on the wkends.
