Title: I need some good luck to come my way.
Post by: gasman on September 10, 2009, 01:41:16 PM: I was having a conversation with my son the other day and he hit me with a wallop, so I have have decided to devote this elk season to getting him his first elk and first bow kill.

He has decided to join the Air Force after hunting season :'( Don;t get me wrong, i am proud of him but it's not easy thinking about my son leaving home. He has been a huge part of my life and i had grow up fast when he was born (I was only 19 and he was born 3 days after the wife and i graduated HS), so i missed out on a lot of things in my young adult hood.

So with out getting all sappy on you all i just need some good luck to get him his first bow kill and first elk.

We will have lots of time in the woods, that for sure.

How cool is this though. What a memory you are creating with him. We waited a long time to get married, then waitied again to have kids, so I will not have as many years with them as you will. Sometimes I am jealous of families who had kids at a younger age. Good luck, and thank the young man from my family for stepping up and protecting this country. Sounds like you have a hero in the making.
