I only had 3 days to hunt before I had to be back to pack for the Montana Elk hunt. I hunted the opening morning out of my stand and didn't see a thing. The next day I tried my stand again in the morning and saw 5 cow just out of range. I changed it up a little for the evening hunt. I hung another stand at a nice creek bottom. I sat from 2 pm until just after 7 with no movement. It was starting to get close to shooting light and was about to get down from my tree when this little guy came along. He walked right under me at 15 feet. He stopped at 16 yards by the creek. I let the arrow fly and he ran about 20 yards and was dead. It was a short drag to a skidder raod and into my buddies truck. It pays to have good friends. Good Luck to All!
