Title: Turkeys Flocking Up

My brother knows a farmer outside of Kettle Falls that I think falls into the 'any turkey' GMU and he was going to try to get me in this month if possible. I missed out on the spring hunt, big customer order I couldn't leave behind. But he got his first bird, kinda cool! he had the fan back from the taxidermist 2 days later!

I learned from last year, when every permit hunter in the county descended on my location.
I now have an alternate spot just in case. Last spring I saw this huge tom that towered over
other toms. Hopefully he survived the spring season. He should be much heavier by now.
He was hanging out at a farm that was posted and owned by a militant vegan. If he is still around,
he probably will be easy to spot and may be over on parcels where I can get permission or are public.

Units 105 thru 124 are open for 2 beardless birds. In addition, you can also take 1 each either sex in 101, or in the other approx 5 general units (Mica Peak, No Lincoln, etc), or half-a-dozen special permit units if you were draw last August. That's up to 3 birds during the early fall season (Sept 19th thru Oct 2nd).

Units 101 thru 124 also allow 1 each either sex bird in the late fall season (Nov 20th - Dec 15th).
