Title: WA-State Alien Fire Arms Licenses - No Longer as of effective date 7/26/2009

I am providing a link to a thread about the issues surrounding the AFL, as an illustration how laws can be changed, how proper civil actions can maintain protection of rights and the faulty AFL legislation was corrected with the passing of HB1052-2009-10. As the next to last line in the thread says: (paraphrased)
This is proof that (y)our system does work, and that even though (when) flawed, it can be used to correct itself. :whoo:

A million thanks to NRA, the Second Amendment Foundation and all those who put tons of time into this.

This battle started about 5 years ago and there were a small handfull of legislators who really made this happen. They pursied it every year until it passed. The Hunters Heritage Council and local SCI chapters also played huge parts in getting this done.

Washington was one of the only places in the world that someone from another country could not go hunting....it was a crazy situation.
