Well, got back from a very hot hunt in the Manastash. I have not sweated so much in my life.
Hiked all over the ridge (above Manastash lake), and did not see one animal.
Little p'oed, but all in the name of fun, right?
Hope you guys had better luck than me.

How were you hunting. My brother and I had at least 6 groups of cows come by us and he called in a rag horn bull. I was in the same general vicinity and there are alot of elk in there. How far off the trail did you go? How early did you get there and how late did you stay?

Hmmmm...I was thinking of heading that way this weekend. I've been north side of the freeway so far and I'm tired of trying to get in on "true spikes." I've seen a lot of elk but kind of want to look at some new country.
