Title: What to do with Raccoons (dead) (now with pix)
Post by: usmc74 on October 05, 2009, 04:35:38 PM: We want to harvest our own grapes this year, so I've been attacking the raccoons. Last year "they" got all of them. I do have the small game license.

My question is, what are they good for? Hides, sell to the low rent diners, what else?

The weekend count is 9. Biggest was a 23 lb female.

That is a 6" flashlight. The big guy was 32 lbs.

Have not had any more since Oct 8.

Had a BIG bear in the yard Oct 10. 250-300 lbs

I think they have me on the "do not call" list

The large one had substantial head trauma, I don't think he would have been a good mounting candidate.

Come to think of it, they all have head trauma. 8)

I fed a batch of stew to a non-hunting friend's family once, he knew what it was. Everyone liked it and his two young girls asked for more even after finding out what it was.
