Hey all, I was hopeing that there would be a boat motor machanic on here because I had my jet sled out on the river today and while I was motoring up the river all the sudden I lost power from my pump. I could throttle it all the way up but barely move. I'm afraid that that means my pump is burned up. Does anyone know if that is so or what else could be the problem? Any help is much appriciated!! After you pulled your boat out of the water did you check the intake? You didnt say one way or the other :dunno: Mark

Ya I did and there wasn't much just a leaf and a couple pieces of grass. Should I take the bottom cover off to see if anything got sucked up in to the pump it self?
-
I am no jetpump mechanic but have been in this situation several times and it was always grass and chit sucked in . :twocents: Check with a flash light and remove cover if it is easy enough to do. Good luck. Mark

--Ive had one quarter size rock in my grate kill all my power, clean the grate of all the grass and leaves and I bet you will be ok.
