Title: Speed question put to rest!
Post by: WAPITIHUNTER on October 18, 2009, 08:07:12 AM
I just read an article in Field and Stream magazine where they tested the Monster XLR8 and the OMEN.

They were pretty darn close.

Monster was 321fps with a 28 inch draw 70 lb draw and a 388 grain arrow. 80% letoff but the draw length was about 3/8" longer.

Omen was 319 fps with the same stats except the letoff was 70-75% according to the article with 3/8" shorter draw.

Looks like a toss up if you ask me :dunno:

No surprise unless your a PSE fan.  I just think those PSEs are too ugly, and the workmanship is not equal to what I have seen with the Mathews and Hoyt for that matter.

But the PSE has 1/2" more BH at 5.5" and the XLR8 is 5"

and to say the PSE is UGLY..I think it looks good in this PIC.
